The Design Subject Area at the Edinburgh College of Art wishes to appoint a full-time Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Design to teach within the Institute of Design Informatics (designinformatics.org) with a particular focus on Interaction Design, Human Data Interaction, Human Computer Interaction and Data Science. This is a full-time (35 hours), open-ended post. The post is available from 1st November 2020. Salary: Lecturer UE08 £41,526 -£49,553 per annum Senior Lecturer UE09 £52,559 -£59,135 per annum The successful candidate will play a leading role in the delivery and development of the Design Informatics postgraduate programmes, will contribute to teaching on our undergraduate programmes, and will engage in the supervision of doctoral students. They will have an excellent research profile in any area of Interactive Media, HCI / HDI, Art / Science & Technology and data science, with the ability to produce exceptional scholarship and/or practice-led research and attract external funding. The appointee will also contribute to the administration of the subject area and the development of teaching and research across Edinburgh College of Art.
