I am teaching an infovis course this semester (after a very long time!) and looking for ideas on data and projects.. we have done the following topics: 1. What is Data Vis and Why do it? (Munzner, Ch 1) 2. Visual Perception (Ward, Ch. 3) 3. Data/Vis Foundations/Distributions (Ward, Few book chapters) 4. Multivariate Vis (Ward, Ch 8) 5. Time Varying Vis (this week, Few, Ch. 8) We have done a project of building Scatterplot matrix using D3 (and numerous small lab exercises). Looking for roughly a 2 or 2.5 week project at this point. Preferably something thats not easy to cheat on!
