CALL FOR PAPERS: Workshop on Immersive Analytics and Visual Communication (IAVC) (in conjunction with VINCI 2019, Shanghai, China, 20 September 2019) More information can be found on the webpage: http://vinci-conf.org/workshop.html ** Paper submission is due on June 30, 2019 ** CALL FOR PAPERS --------------- The 2019 Workshop on Immersive Analytics and Visual Communication, held alongside the 12th International Symposium on Visual Information Communication and Interaction, provides an opportunity to showcase and discuss the state of the art in immersive analytics, present new concepts and studies, highlight application use-cases, and to investigate issues and opportunities regarding both foundations and applications of immersive analytics. The workshop will enable participants to showcase their ongoing work through demo presentations. TOPICS AND SCOPE ---------------- Topics of interest include but are not limited to: * Communicating information using immersive environments * Evaluation for immersive environments and IA concepts * Collaborative immersive analytics * Human-computer interaction for analytics * Applications and case-studies * Tools for building immersive analytics applications * Visual and multisensory data representation * Theoretical foundations of immersive analytics PAPER SUBMISSION ---------------- We welcome position papers, surveys, discussions on interaction design, use of immersive technologies, evaluation methods, user studies, and application use-cases for immersive analytics. Ongoing work, prototypes, and preliminary results are welcome if they clearly address relevant topics and either demonstrate potential for significant contributions or might trigger interesting discussions on foundations of immersive analytics. Please submit your paper by following the submission guidelines for VINCI short papers (4 pages limit+ 1 page references). The paper submission deadline is June 30th. Accepted papers will be included in the VINCI proceedings, and published as VINCI short papers. Selected papers will be invited for journal publication.
