ITV is a non-profit research and postgraduate teaching institution funded by Vale. Vale is one of the world’s main mining companies present in all 5 continents. At ITV we are passionate about creating long-term value and we are committed with leveraging the interaction between company, universities and governmental entities. The research facilities of ITV are located in Belém (Pará) and in Ouro Preto (Minas Gerais). The location of the candidate will be defined based upon his/her expertise and the ongoing projects. We have several research fellowships available for researchers for a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 20 months. These fellowships are offered by the National Counsel of Technological and Scientific Development in Brazil (CNPq) and range from R$ 2.500,00 to R$ 8.000,00 depending upon qualification and experience. No taxes are charged. Positions are now open in the following areas: - Bioinformatics; - Human Computer Interaction / Computer-Supported Collaborative Work; - Image Processing / Pattern Recognition / Signal Processing; - Information Visualization; - Internet of Things (IoT); - Machine Learning; - Optimization; and - Ubiquitous Computing, Sensors, Sensor Networks. We are particularly but not exclusively interested in candidates with a PhD. Prospective candidates who do not strictly meet these requirements are also encouraged to apply and will be considered.
