A 24 months postdoctoral position beginning in Fall 2015 is opened in Nantes (France) in information visualisation, namely visualization of scientific processes in astrophysics. The researcher will collaborate with an epistemology researcher on the analysis and visualization of astrophysicists’ activity. Three categories of visualization tools are considered for three categories of users: epistemologists, astrophysicists, and the general public. The project is well funded and will provide an excellent environment for publishing in leading venues in HCI, frequent travels to Paris (Saclay) are to be expected. The net salary, including medical insurance, will be > 2000€ net, depending on experience and qualification. The candidate should have a PhD with honours in HCI, infovis or activity analysis and an interest for humanities, as well as good programming skills.
