Postdoc in Network Visualization and Natural Language Queries, Paris, France

The ILDA group [1] at Inria Saclay, near Paris, is looking for a postdoc to work on interactive network visualization involving natural language queries. The project is a collaboration between Inria [2] and IFPEN [3]. The post-doctoral fellow will be hosted at Inria in project-team ILDA and will work in collaboration with IFPEN. ILDA’s research work focuses on the design of data-centric interactive systems. We design, develop and evaluate novel interaction and visualization techniques to empower users in both mobile and stationary contexts involving a variety of display devices, including: desktop workstations, tabletops, ultra-high-resolution wall-sized displays, smartphones and tablets, augmented reality headsets. The team publishes primarily in HCI conferences and journals, including: ACM CHI, ACM UIST, IEEE TVCG/InfoVis. The position is for 18 months and can start as soon as September (negotiable).
