Assistant Professor Position in Data Science — University of Calgary

The University of Calgary is hiring for several assistant prof positions this year, including one in data science. The hire is part of our move to build out a new data science program, so primarily looking for folks with more visual analytics and/or machine learning experience. New hires would have a chance to collaborate with visualization faculty in the Interactions Lab <http://ilab.cpsc.ucalgary.ca>, InnoVis <http://innovis.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/>, and Data Experience <http://dataexperience.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/> labs. Having spent the past couple of years at Calgary as a new prof, I've been very impressed with the university overall and the department in particular – and this is hopefully one in a string of several more vis-related hires!
