Newcastle University is a world class research-intensive university, with a strong group of data science researchers, including those working on new methods in Computing and Statistics, along with collaborators in Science, Engineering, Healthcare and the Humanities who are applying these methods to transform their work. Examples include analysing and visualising data from the world’s largest collection of open civic data – the Urban Observatory – and from Europe-wide digital healthcare programmes.
