The "Workshop on Graph Visualization in Practice: Challenges and
Methods" is a forum to foster exchange and discussions among researchers
in graph visualization and people from application areas that require
graph visualization. The objective is to discuss challenges emerging
from applications, recent advances in research, and how to facilitate
the transfer of research results into practical applications.

We invite researchers in the field of graph visualization and related
areas as well as practitioners in fields of application both from
academia and industry to submit papers. Please submit via Easychair
https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=graphvip2014

Papers should either describe substantial research in graph
visualization concerned with application-driven requirements (long
paper, 10 pages maximum) or ongoing research, experiences and challenges
in application areas (short paper, 5 pages maximum).

The scope of the workshop includes, but is not limited to:
  * graph drawing
  * interactive graph exploration
  * graph-based visual data analysis
  * evaluation of graph visualizations
  * graph visualization software
  * graph models and analysis

All submissions should be in Springer's LNCS format. The proceedings
will be published by CEUR. We will invite authors of high quality
submissions to submit their work to a special issue of JGAA.
