========================================================================= CALL FOR PAPERS VINCI 2026 -- The 19th International Symposium on Visual Information Communication and Interaction Hangzhou, China | November 1-4, 2026 | https://vinci-symp.org/ Paper Submission Deadline: July 15, 2026 (AoE) -- all tracks ========================================================================= OVERVIEW VINCI 2026 solicits original, unpublished research papers on all aspects of visual information communication and interaction, whether via images, computer graphics, animations, virtual reality, the web, artistic projects, or other visual media. Papers may address cognitive and design aspects, underlying theories, taxonomies, implementation work, tool support, and case studies. All submissions will be strictly peer-reviewed by at least three members of the international program committee. TRACKS VINCI 2026 features five tracks: * Technical Paper Track: Research contributions on algorithms, techniques, systems, theories, evaluations, and applications -- spanning information visualization and visual analytics, graph and network visualization, HCI and multimodal interaction, visualization for AI/ML, explainable AI, visual metaphors and cognition, computational aesthetics, visual modeling/programming languages, and applications such as SoftVis, BioVis, and GeoVis. * Art Paper Track: Academic research at the intersection of visual information communication, art, and technology, such as generative AI and XR media, data storytelling, XAI visualization, bio-signal visualization, and the ethics and authorship of human-AI co-creation. * Art Gallery Track: Finished, concept-driven artworks that explore visual information communication through artistic expression, under the theme "Futures Unbound: Visualizing Tech, Culture, and Connection in an AI- and Robot-Driven World". * Media Gallery Track: Interactive tech demos, prototypes, and functional media tools (e.g., AR/VR, digital twins, AI co-creation tools) that advance accessible and ethical information sharing. * Cultural Computing Special Track (new this year): Visual and computational techniques for understanding, representing, and interacting with cultural phenomena, including cultural data analytics, heritage preservation, cultural storytelling, and immersive (AR/VR/MR) cultural engagement and learning. Accepted works in the Art and Media Gallery Tracks will be exhibited at Tianmuli, a popular art landmark in Hangzhou, for up to two weeks, remaining open to the public after the conference. SUBMISSION TYPES AND PAGE LIMITS * Full Papers: max. 8 pages (including references) * Short Papers: max. 4 pages + 1 extra page for references only * Posters: max. 2 pages (including references) * Gallery submissions (Artworks / Media Demos): up to 2 pages of description or artist's statement; works completed in or after 2021 All submissions must be written in English and formatted with the ACM Proceedings Template (sigconf, double-column style).
