The ICCS conferences evolved from a series of seven annual workshops on conceptual graphs, starting with an informal gathering hosted by John F. Sowa in 1986. Recently, graph-based knowledge representation and reasoning (KRR) paradigms are getting more and more attention. The aim of the ICCS 2016 conference is to build upon its long standing expertise in graph-based KRR and focus on providing modelling, formal and application results of graph-based systems. ICCS 2016 will be co-located with FOIS 2016, held in Annecy, in the Polytech building at the campus of the University of Savoie. The conference welcomes contributions that address graph-based representation and reasoning paradigms (e.g. Bayesian Networks (BNs), Semantic Networks (SNs), RDF(S), Conceptual Graphs (CGs), Formal Concept Analysis (FCA), CP-Nets, GAI-Nets, Graph Databases, Diagrams, etc.) from a modelling, theoretical and application viewpoint: - Modelling results will investigate concrete real world needs for graph-based representation, how certain use cases are of interest to the graph community, how using graphs can bring added (business) value, what kind of graph representation is needed for a given case, etc. - Technical results will include fundamental graph theory based results for novel structures for representation, extensions of existing structures for added expressivity, conciseness, optimisation algorithms for reasoning, reasoning explanation, etc. - Papers reporting on application experience will be expected to demonstrate the benefits of the graph-based proposed solutions in the context of the use case studied with respect to other possible solutions. Submission Information We invite scientific papers of up to fourteen pages and posters of up to three pages. For each paper, an abstract must be submitted by January 28, 2016, with full papers being due on February 4, 2016. Posters do not require advanced abstract submission and should be submitted by March 24, 2016. Papers and posters must be formatted according to Springer’s LNCS style guidelines and not exceed the page limit. The submission is to be done via EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccs20161 All paper submissions will be refereed and authors will have the opportunity to respond to reviewers’ comments during the rebuttal phase. Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings, published by Springer in the LNCS/LNAI series. Graph Drawing andNetwork Visualization are motivated by applications where it is crucial tovisually analyze and interact with relational datasets. GD has been the main annual event in this area for more than 20 years. Itsfocus is on combinatorial and algorithmic aspects of graph drawing as well asthe design of network visualization systems and interfaces. GD 2016 will behosted by the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems, an affiliate ofthe National Technical University of Athens from September 19 to 21, 2016 inAthens, Greece. Thedefault margins and fonts must not be modified. Submissions that do not complywith this format risk being rejected. Leveraging on multidisciplinary expertise combining knowledge from research in multimedia analysis and retrieval, as well as the multimodal interaction domains, new technologies are required to offer interactions, which are closer to the communication patterns of human beings and allow for an intuitive and hence more "natural" communication with systems. In this context MARMI 2016 focuses on analysis, retrieval and semantic interpretation of multimedia and multilingual data in multimodal interaction scenarios and agent-based applications. Of particular interest of MARMI 2016 is the analysis and retrieval of multimedia information in the context of multimodal agent-based systems with dialogue and multimodal conversation capabilities. The goal of MARMI workshop is threefold. First, the workshop aims at presenting the most recent methods for analysis, retrieval and semantic interpretation of multimedia and multilingual data in multimodal interaction scenarios and agent-based applications. Second, it aims at bringing together practitioners and researchers, both from multimedia retrieval and multimodal interaction domains, to share ideas and experiences in designing and implementing novel multimedia analysis and retrieval techniques and tools for interactive agent-based applications. Third, the workshop aims at evaluating the maturity and efficiency of the multimedia retrieval and analysis techniques for real world multimodal interactive agent-based applications. The purpose of this workshop is to develop a common sense of good reproducibility in our community. Workshop papers will be peer-reviewed in a one-stage process by an international program committee. They will be electronically archived in the Eurographics Digital Library and are fully citable publications. Submissions for the EuroRV3 track should be 4 pages (at most), excluding references, and 5 pages (at most), in total. They will be orally presented at the workshop. EuroRV3 2016 will be held in Groningen, the Netherlands, June 6, 2013 as part of EuroVis 2016. SIAT MSc., MA, and Ph.D. students develop and apply innovative multi-disciplinary research methods to explore the broader implications of advanced information and media technologies. Guided by these studies, they design new technology and media experiences that are responsive to individual, organizational, and societal values. Information+ Interdisciplinary practices in information design and visualization The inaugural Information+ conference will bring together researchers and practitioners in information design and information visualization to discuss common questions and challenges in these rapidly changing fields. Information+ will be held at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver, Canada. It will include three events: a two-day conference (June 16-17), one-day hands-on workshop (June 18), and an exhibition of information design and visualization projects (June 17-July 30).
