The group, newly established in 2019, conducts cutting-edge research on visual analytics and information visualization. It is with great regret that the organising committee of DIAGRAMS 2020 announce that the conference, planned for 24-28th August, will not take place face-to-face in Tallinn, Estonia. Authors of accepted papers, posters and abstracts will be invited to upload a video of their work, and their videos will be available through the conference website http://www.diagrams-conference.org/2020/ to all from August 24th. It provides an international forum for the exchange between those fields, to present advances in the state of the art, identify emerging research topics, and together define the future of these exciting research domains. CALL FOR WORKSHOPS & SPECIAL SESSIONS IEEE AIVR 2020 invites proposals for workshops and special sessions to be held on either of the conference dates (Dec 14-16). Workshops offer a chance to discuss topics related to AR/VR and AI more focused, explore new research directions and novel applications, and provide excellent opportunities for networking. They will run in parallel to the afternoon program of the conference. Special sessions on any topic related to the conference will take place as part of the main technical program and can feature paper presentation, invited and keynote talks, panels, or any other kind of suitable presentation. Duration should be about the same as a regular paper session. Accepted workshop papers and special session papers will be published in the conference proceedings by IEEE Computer Society Press and inculded in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. Software visualization is inherently interdisciplinary, drawing on theories and techniques from information visualization and computer graphics and applying these in the software engineering domain. The VISSOFT conference is a venue for publishing and discussing research related to software visualization. VISSOFT brings together a community of researchers from software engineering, information visualization, computer graphics, human-computer interaction, and data science to discuss theoretical foundations, algorithms, techniques, tools, and applications related to the visualization of software. VISSOFT 2020, co-held with ICSME 2020, encourages a variety of submissions that address outstanding challenges in software systems using visualization. This includes technical papers, empirical studies, applications, case studies, and papers that present novel ideas and tools. ====================================== TOPICS OF INTEREST - Innovative visualization and visual analytics techniques for analysis of software engineering data. We solicit papers that present original, unpublished research results. Papers will be rigorously reviewed by an international program committee. In addition to technical papers, VISSOFT features a New Ideas or Emerging Results (NIER) track and a Tool Demonstrations (TD) track. All accepted submissions will appear in the conference proceedings and the IEEE Digital Library. ====================================== SUBMISSION TYPES **Technical papers**: A technical paper contribution must describe an in-depth and mature research result relevant to software visualization. The content of a technical paper can be at a maximum 10 pages long (including all figures, tables, and appendices). However, the 10 page limit does not include the bibliography, which is limited by two additional pages. The submission of a video (up to 5 minutes in length) to accompany the paper is highly encouraged to show interaction possibilities. Authors who wish to submit a video can submit the video together with their paper if the size of the video is smaller than 50 MB, otherwise a URL to the video should be provided. (Apologies for cross-posting) The Visual+Interactive Data group <https://visualinteractivedata.github.io/> at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh <https://www.ed.ac.uk/informatics>, is searching for an engaged and creative postdoc / PhD summer intern to help doctors sharing, browsing, and visualizing clinical guidelines about Covid-19. Clinical guidelines are documents laying out specific diagnosis and treatment procedures and the project aims to facilitate doctors browsing and creating guidelines about Covid-19 for their hospital in an environment with quickly updating information and policies. Our effort is part of a larger UK-government funded project including partners in Natural Language Processing (NLP), the Royal Edinburgh Infirmary <https://www.nhslothian.scot/GoingToHospital/Locations/RIE/Pages/default.aspx>, and the Roslin Institute <https://www.ed.ac.uk/roslin>.
